Gearing up for Summer

April, not in Paris, but in the New York area. A long cold, rainy April after a long, cold, snowy winter, the winter that seems to never end, to never let go its hold on our weather patterns here. I am already receiving emails from friends in Provence describing the warm spring they are experiencing, the weather I am ready for. So, we began preparing and dreaming. I have returned for French 103 at Alliance Francaise, and pulled out my planning book, reviewed where we went last year, and my notes about where to visit this year. Planning what clothes I need to buy here and why I will add while we are there. As always, by the time I get on that plane, I will have spent a long hard year working to pay for the trip, and knowing that I need it to recoup and recover.
