Joining the cult of travel

I joined this bizarre "cult" a few years ago upon meeting my eccentric but well-traveled husband. Hubbie is an experienced world traveler who speaks several languages. Although I had traveled quite a bit, I was a neophite in comparison. So, after three months of dating and a few overnights in New York and Boston, we embarked on our first overseas excursion, 10 days in the South of France. France is my husband's passion and addiction. He doesn't smoke, has never done drugs, and drinks the occasional wine or champagne (and a rare beer). He is obsessed with French bread and culture.

During this trip, hubbie and I got better acquainted and began to get into what has become our groove of travel and adventure, particularly in France.
