A Peep of a restaurant

We were in NYC for a little shopping in Soho and ventured into the West Village for dinner. Luckily, D. always has amazing parking karma and we found a space on Prince Sreet and walked one block over. We looked at a few restaurants and menus and settled on a Thai fusion spot, Peep.

The food was surprisingly good, and not expensive. The staff was very attentive. The bathrooms were a voyeur's delight with walls made of mirrors, a la Law and Order, allowing the bathroom user to eliminate while watching the diners outside. It is an interesting experience.

So, Peep on Prince is worth a visit.

Is it all a plot? Conspiracy theories a la France.

New Restaurants on this side of the pond

Two very good finds:

Martine's in New Hope PA

and

Lighthorse Tavern in Jersey City.

Both surprising and excellent.

Martine's is especially nice for the atmosphere on the Delaware River with a lovely deck and patio overlooking the water.

This would never happen in the US
